I grow paper whites indoors each year and these ones were so eager to please, they grew almost a foot tall. Far too tall for the frame of my camera. In order to appreciate all the pieces of the paper white, I decided to cut it into pieces. The roots were so extraordinary and the blossoms were perfect. Each piece plays a part. Each piece supports the others. Take any piece out and it no longer works. I've heard it said that if you have to ruin something in order to appreciate it fully, you've failed. I disagree. Sometimes it's the most timeless way you can fully appreciate it - perfection captured in the moment. A shooting star.
